New Haven Rail Yard Coach Acceptance Facility

Project Overview
Provided construction management and field coordination support for the development of a new railcar acceptance and commissioning facility located within the active New Haven Rail Yard. The project scope included site civil improvements, track rehabilitation, service platform construction, installation of new water and sanitary services, electrical power distribution, communications systems, secure perimeter fencing, and temporary operational facilities. All construction activities were executed under live rail operations requiring continuous coordination with Metro-North and Amtrak stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Managed construction sequencing within an active rail yard environment
- Coordinated rail safety requirements and operational work windows
- Oversaw utility installation, electrical infrastructure, and platform construction
- Administered RFIs, submittals, and contract documentation
- Enforced project quality control and safety compliance standards
