Long Island City Yard Restoration and Resiliency Program

Project Overview
This large-scale resiliency project involved reconstruction of yard tracks, third rail systems, drainage infrastructure, flood protection walls and gates, utility relocations, traction power systems, contaminated soil removal, and service platform upgrades. The project was delivered under Design-Build while maintaining continuous rail yard operations.
Responsibilities
- Provided resident engineering and field oversight services
- Coordinated contractor staging and sequencing activities
- Managed quality assurance inspections and testing programs
- Enforced rail safety compliance and work zone protection
