PROJECT OVERVIEW
Intersection Improvement – Stamford, CT
The Intersection Improvement project aims to alleviate tra ic congestion along Route 106 by
optimizing key intersections at Route 1 and Hamilton Avenue. These enhancements will improve
tra ic flow, reduce delays, and enhance pedestrian accessibility.
SCOPE OF WORK
Tra ic Flow and Intersection Upgrades:
- Addition of dedicated turn lanes at both the Route 1 and Hamilton Avenue intersections.
- Intersection modifications to improve safety and e iciency for motorists and pedestrians.
Drainage & Infrastructure Improvements:
- Upgrades to the storm drainage system to enhance water management and prevent flooding.
- Improvements to underground utilities to support long-term infrastructure needs.
Sidewalk and Pedestrian Enhancements
- Installation of new ADA-compliant sidewalks to improve pedestrian connectivity and safety.
- Intersection redesign to accommodate better pedestrian crossings and accessibility.
